>Moonridge Animal Park Help the Moonridge Animal Park raise funds to move to a better location and become the Big Bear Zoo.This is a rescue zoo that houses wildlife that can no longer be released into the wild. This includes bald eagles and pelicans that have been shot, grizzly bears that were to be destroyed, a wolf pack, orphaned mountain lions and black bears, as well as many other North American wildlife species. Since this zoo is an alpine zoo at over 7000 ft. level, it is also home to a snow leopard which is in an endangered species breeding program. On occasion, such as after a wildfire, the zoo serves as a temporary rehabilitation home for injured wildlife.I highly recommend you visit the website and consider helping the zoo financially so the it can make its move to the new location. |
